Jeevan College of Education was established in 2005 by the Jeevan Educational Charitable Trust, a distinguished and service-oriented trust founded by Kalvi Thanthai Dr. I. Iruthayaraj, M.A., D.Litt, a renowned educationist and visionary. The college was set up with a mission to provide high-quality teacher education and contribute to the development of competent and committed educators.
The institution is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai. It offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Master of Education (M.Ed.) programmes, which commenced in the academic years 2006 and 2008 respectively.
